The whole thing was weird and complicated. Otherwise, consider the careful placement of a nanny-cam to cover your sub as well & once placed in a sneaky position, TURN UP THE BASS TO THE MAX LMFAO. ![]() If sub 3 blows, suggest either changing your locks or undergo a sleep study to determine if you're sleepwalking hehe. Is there perhaps an issue with the power socket itself you moved the sub to each time? Was it the same socket both times when the subs blew? (Might be worth getting the socket/circuit tested for shorts etc., especially if you don't have a modern fuse box with trip switches/circuit breakers in your house.) Are you using any extensions or multi-socket adapters etc. You mentioned this happening after moving the sub. What are the chances of two brand new identical subs blowing one straight after the other, (rhetorically lol)? Not impossible but pretty remote I'd say. ĭamn that took some time to sort out didn't it? That sort of wait time is ridiculous for products that failied so quickly too!!! You're certainly more patient than I am lol!! If I'd had two identical subs blow one straight after the other, the whole speaker package would have been returned for a refund regardless of how good they were lol!!! Fingers crossed this one holds up for you. ![]() NNOOOOHHHOOOO LOL, NO subwoofer suicides PMSL. I appreciate any help with this before I assume it is dead and I send it back to the store. I am connecting the subwoofer line out from the STR-DN1080 to the L/LFE input of the subwoofer. The subwoofer green power is on and when I power it off and on again, it has the powering up sound but no actual sound at all after that. STR-DN1080 is set to 5.1 and I tried both large and small speaker sizes. I got the subwoofer to another apartment, tried another STR-DN1080 and another cable and still didn't work. I checked, double checked and triple checked all connections and still no go. I then moved the subwoofer to another corner and tried again with a movie. I then connected the subwoofer and it worked fine too using music from my iPhone to test. I connected all speakers first and they worked fine. JBL Studio 280 floorstanding, Studio 220 Bookshelf, 225C center and 250P Subwoofer. I got JBL 5.1 speakers today to connect to my STR-DN1080.
